League of Wayfinders describes their organization as a “Denver based before and after school enrichment program, taking kids on a Hero’s Journey of self discovery. We incorporate education, empathy building, and critical thinking into a rich pen-and-paper role playing game experience.”

League of Wayfinders was founded in 2015 by Casey Butler and Derek Johnson. The goal of their organization is to use tabletop roleplaying games to teach important lessons to young children. Some of the lessons that they mention are self expression, imagination, creativity, collaboration, teamwork, problem solving, and critical thinking. Another benefit of their organization is the small classroom size which allows instructors to spend more time focused on the needs of each individual child.
